Lufthansa Technik Puerto Rico adopts AMOS software to digitalise aircraft maintenance

Lufthansa Technik Puerto Rico has implemented the AMOS maintenance management software to enhance its digital capabilities and streamline aircraft maintenance operations.

Lufthansa Technik Puerto Rico (LTPR) has selected Swiss-AS's AMOS MRO Edition, including its mobility suite, to digitalise its airframe maintenance operations at Rafael Hernández Airport in Aguadilla.

The integrated platform connects maintenance workflows, production control, and planning in a single system, replacing fragmented tracking across its five heavy-maintenance lines. The facility specialises in narrow-body work, primarily on the Airbus A320 family, for commercial carriers across the Americas.

Why it matters: This represents a significant technological upgrade for a major MRO facility in Puerto Rico, impacting local maintenance standards and operational efficiency — and reinforcing the island's role as a maintenance hub for carriers serving the Caribbean basin.
