A debris field from the missing Latitude Air Ambulance Gulfstream G100 has been found south of Nantucket, Massachusetts, the U.S. Coast Guard confirmed.

The aircraft, a Gulfstream G100 (Astra SPX) registered C-GRJP and operated by Ontario, Canada-based Latitude Air Ambulance, disappeared early Saturday, October 3, 2026, while flying a medical evacuation from Bermuda to Boston. The flight departed Bermuda around 12:41 a.m. carrying six people: two pilots, two medical crew members, a patient, and the patient's family member.

At approximately 2 a.m., the Federal Aviation Administration notified the Coast Guard that contact had been lost with the aircraft. Before contact was lost, the crew declared an emergency and reported electrical problems. Tracking data showed the aircraft descending rapidly from around 24,000 feet to roughly 10,000–11,000 feet before disappearing from tracking while in contact with New York air traffic controllers.

Coast Guard air and surface crews searched approximately 1,644 square miles over 27 hours before confirming the debris field belonged to the missing aircraft. The operation involved helicopters, fixed-wing aircraft, lifeboats, and the Coast Guard cutter William Sparling.

The search for the six people aboard is continuing. As of the latest confirmed update, all six remain missing. Next of kin have been notified, and Bermuda Premier David Burt said the island is praying that all six will be found safe.

An investigation into the accident is expected, with the NTSB and Canada's Transportation Safety Board likely to be involved. PRBAA will continue to track this story, with updates posted as the search and investigation progress.

Search Update — October 12, 2026

Following 66 hours of continuous search operations, the U.S. Coast Guard suspended its active search for the six individuals aboard the Latitude Air Ambulance Gulfstream G100 (C-GRJP) that went missing on October 3, 2026. While a debris field confirmed to be from the aircraft was located south of Nantucket, none of the six occupants were recovered during the search efforts.
