25 Years Later: We Remember and We Honor

PRBAA pauses to honor the 2,977 victims of September 11, 2001, and the aviation professionals whose courage and legacy reshaped our industry forever.

Today marks a quarter-century since September 11, 2001—a day that permanently reshaped our nation, our global community, and the skies we operate in every day.

Twenty-five years later, the Puerto Rico Business Aviation Association (PRBAA) pauses to honor the memory of the 2,977 victims of the attacks. We hold in our hearts the everyday citizens, the courageous first responders who answered the call of duty, and the warriors of our Armed Forces who have defended the sacred cause of freedom in the quarter century since.

For the aviation family, this anniversary carries a profound significance. We remember the pilots, flight attendants, and passengers aboard American Flights 11 and 77, and United Flights 175 and 93—whose bravery in the darkest moments showed the world true courage.

Their legacy redefined our industry forever. It galvanized an unwavering commitment to safety, operational vigilance, and the sacred responsibility of keeping communities connected securely. Every procedure, every standard, and every flight taken today is a reflection of the lessons learned and the resilience forged in the aftermath of that day.

As we look to the horizon, we remain united in our mission to protect that trust and never take the privilege of flight for granted.

Today, we pause, we reflect, and we pledge: Never Forget.
